SWEDISH GRAND PRIX

TIBOR NEMECEK (NECRONS) finally showed the form he is capable of in the GP series with a fine win in the Swedish GP, it will be too little to late to avoid facing the GP Challenge but it will give him confidence as he approaches that meeting for sure.  2nd place here went to KENNI ALGREEN (ABERAVON GEMS) with his 17 points lifting him a place overall and seeing him 10 points adrift of 8th on the leaderboard with just one round to race.  LEON JEPPESEN (COPENHAGEN COBRAS) completed the rostrum but, in what has been a real topsy-turvy GP season, he won't avoid the GP Challenge.  RAY FRANCE (KING'S LYNN LIGHTNING) completed the Grand Final and his 13 point return puts him within 5 points of a rostrum finish overall as the riders head to Poland for the final round.

FILLIPPE CHONG (TILBURY DOCKERS) and PETR MARKO (BOTTESFORD BULLETS) both recorded double figure returns as they reached the Semi Finals.  For Chong that puts him up to 7th, with a 5 point cushion as he looks to finish in the top 8, whilst Marko remains 3rd, although with riders above him struggling in the round he may see it as somewhat of a missed opportunity.  Wildcard ARNE KARLSEN (BUDAPEST BULLS) also reached the Semis and his performance, coming hot on the heels of qualifying for the GP Challenge meeting, gives him confidence he can compete at this level.  The other Semi Finalist was Hayden Wood, he actually drops a place overall but remains 8th heading to the final round.

Series leader RAFAL ARANOWSKI (READING REBELS) had a nightmare round but the riders behind him didn't capitalise fully and, as a result of the big lead he built up earlier in the series, he goes to Poland 8 points clear at the top of the standings.  LOUIS JOOSSENS (CANVEY ISLAND CASTAWAYS) narrowed the leader's advantage by 6 points but narrowly missed out on the Semis and a chance to really eat into the gap.  JACK HAGEN (STOCKHOLM SCORPIONS) had a solid enough round and still has a chance of a rostrum spot, sitting just 4 behind 3rd at the moment.  ENZO INNACONE (WOLSTON WARRIORS) wasn't in sparkling form either but he has a 9 point gap, sitting in 6th overall, over 9th place and should have enough in the final round to avoid needing to ride in the GP Challenge.  The riders looking to steal into the top 8 are lead by JERNEJ KEGLOVITS (MADRID MAGPIES) and BOGUSLAW KRYZNOWEK (TILBURY DOCKERS) who scored 7 each and are 3 and 5 points respectively behind 8th overall
