EUROPEAN GRAND PRIX

LOUIS JOOSENS (CANVEY ISLAND) won the European Grand Prix, despite two last places in the qualifying rides, and moved himself to 3rd place in the overall standings after 5 rounds of 8 in the series.  2nd on the rostrum in this round was RAFAL ARANOWSKI (READING REBELS) who stretched his lead in 1st place overall and with a 15-point gap he is a huge favourite to claim the world title now.  PETR MARKO (BOTTESFORD BULLETS) completed the European GP rostrum, his 15 points moving him into the top 8 overall, with JACK HAGEN (STOCKHOLM SCORPIONS) the other rider who reached the Grand Final as he retained 2nd place in the running standings.

ENZO INNACONE (WOLSTON WARRIORS) reached the Semis with a double figure return, that puts him joint 4th overall; a performance which was matched by impressive wild card TEODOR PATOCKA (LANARKSHIRE LIONS) who looked every bit capable of becoming a GP regular.  LEON JEPPESEN (COPENHAGEN COBRAS) and RAY FRANCE (KING'S LYNN LIGHTNING) were the others who reached the Semi Finals, France dropping out of the bronze medal position, although still well placed to challenge over the remaining 3 rounds.

Of the rest JACEK KLECHA (CANVEY ISLAND CASTAWAYS) and JERNEJ KEGLOVITS (MADRID MAGPIES) added solid points to stay in the top 8 spots, although a poor round for HAYDEN WOOD (BIRMINGHAM BOURNVILLAINS) drops him out of the top 8, albeit by just 3 points so he will be aiming to push himself back up and avoid the GP Challenge meeting over the next few weeks.
